Inspiration Point

A rewarding hike in Grand Teton National Park, offering panoramic views of Jenny Lake and the Jackson Hole valley. Starting from the west shore of Jenny Lake via a scenic shuttle boat ride, the trail leads hikers through a conifer forest to the impressive Hidden Falls. Continuing upward, the path becomes steeper and more rugged, culminating at Inspiration Point, where visitors are treated to breathtaking views. This moderately challenging 1.8 mile roundtrip hike (or 5.8 miles from the South Jenny Lake Loop Trail) is a favorite among park visitors.

Cirque Trail

Connecting the summit of Rendezvous Mountain to the Bridger Gondola, this 3.8 mile out and back trail offers a mix of rocky paths and wildflower meadows, with sweeping views throughout. This trail is rated more difficult due to some steep sections and areas with exposure. We recommend getting started early and bringing hiking poles to help when the trail gets steep.

Phelps Lake Loop

While this trail is located a bit outside of town (about 20 minutes from downtown Jackson and Teton Village), you’ll be rewarded with incredible views as you hike along the creek and around Phelps Lake. This 6.6 mile loop is quite popular, so expect to see other hikers and wildlife (bear and moose are frequently spotted on this trail). The trail is well marked and is relatively flat with some occasional includes. Dogs are not allowed on this trail.

Casper Ridge Loop

The Casper Ridge Loop is a scenic 1.8-mile loop accessible via the Tram at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. This moderate singletrack path follows a high alpine ridge, offering hikers panoramic 360-degree views of the Teton Range and Jackson Hole valley. The trail meanders through wildflower-filled meadows and rugged terrain.
